Taking the Plunge

Last month the PSAV team at our Paris Branch worked on a very unique set up for a charity event for at the pool of the Hotel Molitor in Paris.

In this very unexpected venue they had to set up a double projection to showcase videos, install an underwater sound system for a water ballet demonstration, install a full sound system in the room for an auction sale and record the whole event.

A nice job supporting a great cause.

 An Audience with Mo

London, UK  – On the evening of 15th April, The Royal Garden Hotel hosted ‘An Audience With Mo’, a charity dinner in aid of The Mo Farrah Foundation and the Charity COCO. It was a star studded event with huge names from the sporting world past and present such as Sir Steve Redgrave, Daley Thompson and Jonathon Edwards attending. Beginning with a performance by 80’s Pop legend Paul Young and culminating with a 45 min chat with Mo Farrah, we were tasked with creating a stage and lighting setup worthy of the high profile of the event.

“Starting with a simple dual Screen and Drape/Starcloth backdrop we added LED uplights, colour changing between different shades of blue and moving head lights to create the mood lighting for the evening. During dinner, the BBC’s Rob Walker was out in the room interviewing sporting legends such as Kriss Akabusi, Paula Radcliffe and using a cameraman (and lots of cable!) we sent the interviews on live relay to the Projection and Plasma screens in the room.” Liam Mc Grady, PSAV ETM at the hotel.

The evening was concluded in the Palace Suite Pre-function area, which during the interview with Mo Farrah we transformed to give a nightclub feel using 18 LED Uplights and two laser units along with a bespoke DJ Booth incorporating LED tape.

With the evening being such a success, the ‘Audience with’ format will be returning to Royal Garden next year with PSAV as the AV partner.

 Breaking Boundaries

MONACO — Animal health company, Merial, arrived at the Le Méridien Beach Plaza and found that the PSAV team went above and beyond to deliver the “awesome event” they were looking for.

Given full creative control, the on-site PSAV team presented a 3-D rendering that steered the client toward PSAV and away from their typical AV provider.

It took two months, a lot of conference calls and emails, site visits and quite a few 3-D renderings to come up with this result. The set up required two full day with first the installation of the set and then all the AV equipment.

“This week was very good for us, thank you for your support and professionalism. This meeting will really be remembered and you played a huge part in it.”

 Meeting High Expectations

London, UK – On the 16th of September, Prime Minister David Cameron spoke at a dinner to mark the 25th anniversary of the Holocaust Educational Trust, held at the Dorchester hotel.

With such a key speaker and important event, the team had to make sure they delivered a very positive experience for the attendees.

The PSAV team created a set  with a dual screen flat white panel set, a custom built lectern with artwork, some lighting to the stage and the set, a flown PA system and relayed 60″ LED screens around the ballroom.  Six technicians worked on the set up of the event to make sure everything was perfect for the evening.

”The event really required a focus on quality, tidiness and overall professionalism – all the things PSAV strive for” PSAV Director of Event Technology at the Dorchester.

 Media 360

Media 360 is an annual event run by publishing giant Haymarket group. The event is attended by the business leaders in advertising and media in London, and this year was the 10th anniversary.  PSAV wowed the audience and organisers with our iPad technology, cutting edge projection mapping, and high quality AV.

Haymarket’s brief to PSAV was to run a cutting edge event in the Excel centre London and a party in the O2 that won’t be forgotten.  So we had to devise an event that was fun, interactive and memorable to a high level media audience. The PSAV team led by James Badger, Nick St Hilaire and Shrenik Singhavi did an outstanding job to support this event.

iPads were handed out to all 300 delegates, pre loaded with a custom build App, allowing a live twitter feed (check out #m360UK to see more). All the presentations were fully interactive and streamed via iPads, including questions and voting which created a huge buzz.

The Set was custom built and needed to be special, and break out rooms were created for such names as Yahoo and Channel 4.  In the evening the event moved to the world famous O2 area, where PSAV ran the 10 year party. This included band, awards, DJ and projection mapping on 3D cubes, with photos and twitter feeds.  It was again a great success

“I’m really satisfied with the services received by PSAV – the process from beginning to end has been very smooth and the team was flexible, professional onsite and above all, fun to work with. The iPad app and Mithoughts app were very well received and we have received lots of positive feedback.”  Katie Tatham from Haymarket
